Hunt River Watershed Community Workshop 2026

This river watershed supplies water for about 30,000 people, but we don't have a watershed council, and we don't teach kids much about it in school! Join the Spring 2026 workshop to share your experience of the watershed while learning more about it. We will collaborate to draft a community watershed map that captures our learning so that it can be shared through local school programs- K-12 teachers are especially welcome to attend! SIGN UP! Workshop is FREE for anyone who works or lives in North Kingstown or East Greenwich. Space limited to 20!

After a get-to-know-you meeting, Beatrice will choose class materials based on the group interest and lead four weeks of learning and discussion about greenspace, transportation, and water management in the area.

Field trips will include walking exploration of different areas in the watershed that connect to our interests. Together we will draw a community watershed map to share with local school programs.
